L\u2019analyse de la s\u00e9rie temporelle d\u2019anomalies moyennes de hauteur de la mer (ou sea level anomalies-SLA), issues des mesures recueillies par les diff\u00e9rentes missions d\u2019altim\u00e9trie satellitaire sur la p\u00e9riode de janvier 1993 \u00e0 d\u00e9cembre 2015, montre une diff\u00e9renciation \u00e9vidente Est-Ouest. Le bassin oriental a augment\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on tr\u00e8s nette. Par contre, au niveau de l&rsquo;Italie (mer Ionienne), le niveau a baiss\u00e9. Afin de d\u00e9crire les modes fondamentaux de variabilit\u00e9, une d\u00e9composition du set des donn\u00e9es en fonctions orthogonales empiriques (EOF) a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e. Les fonctions calcul\u00e9es, tronqu\u00e9es \u00e0 20, permettent une r\u00e9duction de l&rsquo;espace des donn\u00e9es tout en expliquant pr\u00e9s de 80% de la variance des donn\u00e9es analys\u00e9es.
