Microstructural analyses revealed a decrease in the interdendritic spacing(SDAS), in particular owing 2% of the modifier prepared with a reduced pulling traction. The dendrites were preferably oriented along the pulling velocity for fairly low pulling velocity (500 \u03bcm\/s). These microstructural modifications enabled an increase of both the \u00a0hardness (HB) values and the impact toughness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Key words: <\/strong>AlSi13 alloy, Modification treatment, Directionally solidification, Bridgman technique, Silicon eutectic.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Num\u00e9ro de la revue: 37 Auteurs: Khadouja.
