Dans la cat\u00e9gorie des mat\u00e9riaux cimentaires, diff\u00e9rents types de d\u00e9chets et coproduits issus de l\u2019agriculture ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9s, soit sous forme de particules, en remplacement total ou partiel des granulats min\u00e9raux, soit sous forme de fibres pour renforcement. Dans cette, \u00e9tude nous nous sommes int\u00e9ress\u00e9s au potentiel d\u2019utilisation des fibres de jute comme \u00e9l\u00e9ments de renfort pour\u00a0 mortiers. La fibre de jute a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e en substitution partielle du sable \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents taux, le mortier de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e9tant sans fibres. Un protocole d\u2019essais exp\u00e9rimentaux a \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9 pour \u00e9tudier les composites \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat frais et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat durci. La compatibilit\u00e9 chimique des fibres de jute avec le ciment a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide des tests d\u2019hydratation qui consistent \u00e0 enregistrer l&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9vation de temp\u00e9rature au c\u0153ur du composite lors des r\u00e9actions exothermiques des composants du ciment avec l&rsquo;eau de g\u00e2chage. Les r\u00e9sultats\u00a0 r\u00e9v\u00e8lent un faible indice d&rsquo;inhibition confirmant la compatibilit\u00e9 de la fibre avec le ciment.
