Parmi les voies pr\u00e9conis\u00e9es, la gestion rationnelle des ressources naturelles, notamment hydriques, figurent parmi les plus privil\u00e9gi\u00e9es.<br \/>\nL\u2019exploration des m\u00e9canismes physiologiques d\u2019adaptation au d\u00e9ficit hydrique chez les c\u00e9r\u00e9ales permet d\u2019en s\u00e9lectionner quelques uns pour enfin les introduire dans un programme national d\u2019intensification. A cet effet, dix g\u00e9notypes de bl\u00e9 dur ont fait l\u2019objet d\u2019\u00e9tude au plan physiologique, biochimique, histologique ainsi que sur le plan de la vigueur et la viabilit\u00e9 des semences.<br \/>\nLes r\u00e9sultats montrent que l\u2019essai topographique au T\u00e9trazolium semble accorder une plus grande vigueur chez les g\u00e9notypes 1, 3 et 4. L\u2019\u00e9tude histologique met en valeur les vari\u00e9t\u00e9s 1, 4, 5, 9, 10 qui montrent une bonne pr\u00e9sentation de tous les tissus et ce, sous conditions de stress hydrique. Les osmoprotecteurs tels que la proline et les sucres solubles augmentent avec le stress, d\u00e9montrant ainsi leur r\u00f4le de tol\u00e9rance ou forme adaptative.
